Jobseeker Support Student Hardship - health condition
If you have a health condition that affects your ability to work, you may not have to look for full-time work or register with Student Job Search.
What you need to do
- Call us to discuss your situation.
- You'll need to apply for Jobseeker Support Student Hardship - we'll talk to you about this when you call
- Once we've received your application, we'll call you to discuss your situation and, if needed, we'll ask you to talk to your health practitioner.
Talk to your health practitioner
You'll need a medical certificate from your health practitioner to tell us how your health condition affects your ability to work. Most GPs now send us medical certificates electronically.
If you already have a StudyLink client number, make sure your health practitioner includes that on the certificate.
If your health practitioner doesn't send your medical certificate electronically, you'll need to log in to Connect after you've applied and upload it.
Process your application
Once we've received your medical certificate, we'll process your application and let you know the outcome.
