Change of course study dates

If your course or programme study dates change, your payments may be affected.

What you need to do

Email us or call us

You also need to complete a returning application in MyStudyLink if your new start date is more than 3 weeks after your old start date.

Affect on payments

If you're getting a Student Allowance or living costs payments from a Student Loan, these may stop. We'll let you know when you contact us.

New start date is more than 3 weeks later

If your new start date is more than 3 weeks after your old start date, we consider that you've withdrawn from your original course.

This means that you need to meet the passing requirements to get another Student Allowance and Student Loan.

There's also a limit to how long you can get a Student Allowance for and how many Student Loans you can get in your lifetime.
