Change your name
If you change your name, you need to tell us so we can update our records.
It's important we have the correct name for you. If you're applying for a Student Loan, we also need to make sure the name on your Student Loan contract is correct.
How to tell us
You can either:
Then log in to Connect and upload evidence of your name change. This can be a verified copy of either your:
- updated birth certificate
- marriage certificate, or
- deed poll.
If you've applied for a Student Loan
If you've applied for a Student Loan and it hasn't been approved yet, you'll need to sign a new contract.
We'll send one to you in the post with your new name on it.
Once you've signed it, you can send it back to us, along with your evidence. You can send these documents through the post or upload them online using Connect.
