Increase to payments for students on 1 April 2022

It has been combined with the Annual General Adjustment which occurs every year on 1 April.

Students who get paid Student Allowance or Student Living Cost will get an increase of $25 a week, per adult.

Changes to Student Allowance will happen automatically; you don’t need to do anything.

If you get Student Loan payments, you can log into MyStudyLink from 28 March 2022 and request to increase your payments.

Your first payment in April

As 1 April falls part way through a payment period, the full increase will be paid in the second payment (the week of 11 April, if paid weekly).
